It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden death of Sally Louise Omeme Sandusky who went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Monday, March 9, 2026 in Calgary, Alberta. She survived by her mother Edith Francis Ann Sandusky (nee Galbraith) and her brother David Clark Sandusky. She is pre-deceased by her father Walter David Sandusky.
Sally was born in Cardston AB on September 7, 1977. She spent most of her life in Sylvan Lake, AB. She had a special love for seniors and became trained to care for them. While working with seniors in Vancouver, she attended JCI Institute INC where she expressed her creativity in knitting and showcased her passion for knitwear at a number of fashion shows. She returned to Calgary and was devoted to her family, visiting and caring for her father daily until his death in 2023. The last three years she spent visiting her mom daily where they did different knitting projects for people in need. Sally will be remembered for her sincere kindness, her wonderful smile and finding a way to add sparkle and bright colors to every occasion.
A Celebration of Sally’s Life will be held at the Alliance Community Church, 4404-47 Avenue, Sylvan Lake, AB on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. We are expecting to have live streaming available for all those unable to attend. Check back for updates.
