With broken hearts, the Audia’s say goodbye to a beloved son, brother, father and grandpa. Sam passed away peacefully at home in Calgary on August 16, 2017. Sam was born in 1962 in Italy, moving with his parents to Calgary when he was just four. Sam will be forever missed by his mother Angela, brother Mario (and family); daughters, Magi, Chantal, and Kalinda; Magi and Will’s children, Julian and Mason, his dearest grandkids, and by his Aunt Lucia and Uncle Giuseppe Gallo. Sam experienced the sad loss of his father, Prospero, in 2008. For five decades, Sam worked hard, raised kids and in his free time “raised a little hell” – all of this with a true heart and a courageous approach to this unpredictable life. A longtime loyal friend to so many, a devoted son and a loving and proud father and grandfather, Sam was loved and leaves behind so many…too soon. “Rest now within the peace”. Prayer Service: Foster's Garden Chapel, 3220-4 St.N.W. Tuesday August 22 at 7:30pm. Funeral Mass: Mary Mother of the Redeemer Parish, 1714 14 Ave.N.E. Wednesday August 23 at 10:30am. Entombment to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations can be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta.
