Sisenando "Tatay" Rodriguez

Sisenando is lovingly remembered by his children: Lydia (Phillip) Bruan, Mercedes Bueza, Theresa (Boni) Flores, Celia Reandelar, Roger (Christie) Rodriguez, Sofia Liwanag, Nemie (Wilma) Rodriguez, and Beth (Frank) Solis as well as his grandchildren: Lenard (Monet), Edbert (Kristin), Richard, Daisy (Dale), Leomer (Anna Marie), Leomedes (Sarah), Leopoldo Jr. (Daisy), Leodeemer (Margie), Lemoel, Analiza, Benedict (Myrah), Bernard, Christopher, Mary Jane (Timothy), Roy (Michelle), Earl, Ryan (Rhea), Jaclyn, Jonathan (Thermie), Edward (Menchie), Mae, Honey (Ravim), Levaneigh (Karl), April (Brian), May Ann (Edman), Hannibal (Argie), Christine, Kaye, Joshua, and James along with his thirty five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving wife of seventy-one years, Severina “Nanay” Rodriguez.

Sisenando was born in Lemery, Batangas, Philippines and immigrated to Canada in 1976, with his wife. He was a loving husband, devoted father, caring grandfather, and great-grandfather. His favorite hobby was gardening and he especially enjoyed helping take care of his grandchildren. Sisenando was the guiding-light of his family, he loved to share his wisdom and stories of past experiences, but most of all he shared his faith in God and the hope of Jesus’ second coming.

Those wishing to pay their respects could do so at Visitations and Prayer Services at South Calgary Funeral Centre, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate), Calgary on Friday September 7, 2012 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday September 8, 2012 from 5 to 9 p.m.

A Funeral Mass was held on Sunday September 9, 2012 at Garden Road Seventh Day Adventist Church (155 - 100 Street NE) at 10.00 a.m. Interment followed at Mountain View Memorial Garden Cemetery.
