Born in Calgary, He grew up in California and returned to Canada when he was 18 years old. Steve was the epitome of a successful self-made businessman: Hard working, honest, and with exceptional customer service and mechanical skills.
Steve was passionate about cars, sailing, surfing as well as motor sports, and from an early age he knew he wanted to be a mechanic and own a repair shop.
Steve will be forever missed by his life-partner, Duska Julius, his team at the shop as well as too many friends to name.
Steve loved his beautiful daughters, Brooke and Autumn, whom he took on many adventures. He was a loving son to Judy and Tony Hyde, as well as his in-laws Bob Gray and Colleen Kyle, and a dear brother to Bob Hyde.
We will celebrate his life at the Sunalta Community Association (1627 10 Ave SW, Calgary) on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
