Steven Harris Brundin passed away suddenly at home on January 11, 2021 at the age of 51 years. Steven is sadly missed by his wife of 24 years, Tammy (McDonald) and his son, Jake. Steven was a loving and devoted husband and father to Tammy and Jake. He is survived by one brother, Tony (Nadia) and several aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother Sharon (Jardine), his father John Brundin, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Steven was an outdoor enthusiast. In his younger years, he enjoyed snowmobiling, quading (four wheeling), and camping. He especially loved his time spent with family and friends at his cabin.
To Steven, family was everything to him. When his son, Jake, was born, he travelled across the country in search of a better opportunity for his son and his wife. He was always creating new, accessible contraptions so that his son could enjoy the great outdoors just as much as he did. From his winter sled to his bike and trailer in the summer, he ensured that Jake could live the same life that he did, camping and hiking, and that he was never restricted by his need to use a wheelchair.
Steven spent many years working at Rae’s Trailer and Sports and Patterson’s Sales in New Brunswick, and then became an indispensable fixture as the Lead Hand at Sure-Flo Meters and Controls in the oil and gas industry in Alberta.
Steven with his great sense of humour, his joy for life, was the guy who wanted everyone to laugh. Steven was one of a kind who loved his holey shirts. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at a later date in New Brunswick
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations being made in Steven’s memory directly to the Cerebral Palsy Kids and Families.
