Stuart (Pete) Gordon Bishop

Stuart Gordon Bishop (or fondly remembered as Pete) lost a long and courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, June 24, 2007 at the age of 48 years. Stu was loved and will be missed by his parents Gordon and Shirley Bishop of Balzac; his three children, Joshua and his fiancé Jenna; daughter Tarrin and husband Vincent all of Sherwood Park and Joby of Acme. He will also be missed by his siblings Susie and Barry Wentz of Calgary, Rod and Inez Bishop of Balzac, Tom and Cindy Beierle of Carstairs and Cori and Darrin Carberry of St. Albert as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. Stu was predeceased by his sister Dianne in August of 1977. A special thank you to the Doctors and Nurses at the Peter Lougheed Hospital for their care. A Funeral Service was held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Private interment at Airdrie Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society or donations may be made to a trust account for Joby c/o Bank of Montreal, Box 489, Carstairs, AB T0M 0N0.
