Theodore Clifford Strickland III

After graduating from LSU, Ted worked as a Chemist for several years before deciding to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a Physician. He graduated from LSUMC here in New Orleans in 1991 and completed a residency in Anesthesiology. He loved his work. He finished his career with several years at the VA Hospital here in New Orleans.

Ted enjoyed fishing and hunting and he especially enjoyed introducing friends and family to those pursuits. He also enjoyed dining, music, and going to the ballet. On occasion, he could really cook. We will miss his spinach pie, dry wit, and rugged practicality.

Ted is survived by his adored wife Candace Ann Cutrone; his son, Matthew Vincent Strickland and his Stepchildren Alden Littlewood and Ryan Littlewood (Emily Cassidy); granddaughter, June Ann Littlewood. He is also survived by his mother Lois Rosenmeier and his sisters; Lynn Boland and Sandy Strickland, and a number of nieces.

A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, Louisiana from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Animal Rescue Organizations or Gulf Coast Conservation Efforts.
