Mr. Weiquan Zhu 祝伟权was born and spent his childhood in the City of Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, China. He was the oldest son to Father 祝永镐 and Mother 候湘君, where they came from the well-known Chinese business entrepreneur family of 祝大(廷)椿 conglomerate.
Since 17 years of age, Weiquan lived all his adult life in Shanghai, pursued high education and professional career at the Donghua University 东华大学 in the field of science and engineering, where he met and married to Jindi Zhang 张金娣, the mother of his two children, daughter Hong Zhu 祝红 and son Honghai Zhu 祝宏海.

During Weiquan’s life, he enjoyed mostly literatures, western classical and Chinese music, and traveling all over China. While he was highly intellectual, well spoken, humble, and gentle mannered, he was very open-minded to learn different languages and cultures, and easily connected with people. He also loved culinary experiences and had cooked diligently for his family throughout his life. Due to his wealthy family background, Weiquan was significantly impacted by the infamous “Chinese Culture Revolution” in 1960’s, deployed by communist official to 黑龙江漠河 in the northern China, for the purpose of being reformed. He lived there for over three years in a total self-support and away from his family.
Weiquan had passed along many profound life stories, humors, knowledge, and human wisdom. He created many precious memories of interaction with grandchildren. He will be dearly missed and looked up to as a great role model in our journey of life.
All of us love you very much, husband – dad – grandpa!
