Wendy’s life was a celebration of her family. She spent her time volunteering in the school system, helping kids learn, and helping them improve their reading skills. From there, she began work in the family business, focusing on sales and marketing. Most recently, she expanded her family to include the 70,000 member Facebook group she moderated. In her spare time, Wendy loved to travel with her family and shop.
Wendy was a very comforting person who always gave good advice. She was a devoted mom not only to her two sons, but also to the boys’ friends. She provided a comfortable surrogate home to kids whenever they couldn’t be at their own homes.
Wendy always brought a smile, sometimes with a simple joke posted to Facebook, but more frequently with the compassion and warmth of a mother and a dear friend.
Wendy is lovingly remembered by her sons Robbie and Mitchell; their father Scot; mother-in-law Hope; Robbie’s grandma Margaret Koster; sister Nancy (John) Doyle, and their son Adam.
She was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Betty Stich.
A Memorial Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street NW, Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.
If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to Rosedale Hospice (https://hospicecalgary.thankyou4caring.org/).
The family would like to thank the staff at Rosedale Hospice and all of Wendy’s friends, who provided much-needed love and additional support.
