It is with gratitude for a long life well lived and for a peaceful ending that we announce that William, is amongst the angels at the age of 105. Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, volunteer, and world traveler. William was a great friend, was a kind and tender soul with a big heart. William was predeceased by his beloved wife Zena, who passed away in 2018. He is survived by his 4 sons Terence Andrade (Deanna), Clarence Andrade, Lawrence Andrade and Christopher Andrade (Germaine); 3 daughters Jennifer Noronha (Neil), Nilofer Fernandes (Ralph) and Zenwill Sequeira (Anselm); his 12 grandchildren Tania, Holly (Ivan), Leann (Jared), Tamara, Sophia (Joel), Natasha (Sameer), Ryan, Warren, Brad, Marisa (Rick), Megan and Ashley; and his great-grandchildren Mariah, Kassiah, Isaiah, Kedah, Benjamin, Andrew, Joshua, Sadie and J.J.

William was born in Mangalore, India, and moved to Karachi in the early 40’s, he then immigrated to Calgary in 1982 and started a seniors club CANOSCA in 1985 which was very dear to his heart. Dad moved to Extendicare Cedars Villa in 2018 to be near our mom; unfortunately, Mom passed away 2 months later. The staff at Cedars Villa were kind and compassionate and deserve great respect always.

William shared a table and hallway with my Mom at Cedars Villa for many months over the years. She often reminded me of his remarkable age. I thought she was mistaken as he seemed so vibrant and relatively alert when he was 101, 102, 103, and 104! My impression and Mom's experience was William was a dignified gentleman, quiet, kind, and just a lovely soul. I will miss saying hello to him in the hallway, waving at him through the window as he sat and watched the squirrels, and I know Mom will miss seeing him daily. Our sincerest condolences to William's family. He was a real blessing and gem.
