William “Bill” Armstrong passed away in Calgary, AB on Monday, December 9, 2013 a happy man – the Roughriders had won the Grey Cup! Dad knew he’d never live long enough to see the Flames win another Stanley Cup. Bill leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 62 years, Marian; daughters, Diana (Nick) and Colleen (Don); sons, Clint (Sharon) and Ian (Ann Marie); sister, Barbara (Ken); brother, Ian; sister-in-law, Audrey; grandchildren: Michael (Tina), Chrissy (Roberto), Britton, Ryan, Allison, Laura, Melissa and Ashley; great grandchildren: Tony, Taylor, Emily, Kalisa and Damian as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother and father and older brother, Dick. Bill is finally with his two favourite boys - his beloved dogs, Max and Sidney.
A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
