I often think of Dennis when we were both young and just hung out together at Toppers . He was a very good pool player. We enjoyed the competition we used to have. I still can mentally see the skinny Dennis standing over a shot with his “brush cut” hair do. I always remember him with that brush cut. Fun times.


Linda and I were sad to hear of Dennis’s passing. We were close friends in our high school years. I remember Dennis as the skinny kid with the brush cut and always fun to be around. We lost touch with each other when we moved into adulthood, work , marriage and kids. We moved to Calgary in 76 and was surprised to hear he was here as well. I looked him up and reconnected and had a great lunch. I hoped we could have continued our friendship but with the turmoil in Alberta of the 80’s we lost touch again. I only wish we could have connected. I will miss him even though we spent a short time in our lives together.

I met Dennis when i worked at Williams Moving and Storage.  One of the funniest was when i hid his candy. He stopped by my office and just said return it and no more will be said. Dont know how he knew it was me that hid it.
He was a great boss.

I first met Dennis & Linda when I went to work at Williams Moving & Storage many years ago, I also went on to work with him at AMJ Campbell.  He was the absolute best boss, he truly brought out the best in people.  I am so blessed to have had the two of them in my life. I have memories that I will cherish forever.  

He fought such a hard battle with his Loving Linda by his side.  He will be forever missed.  My heart goes out to the family.  

The tribute to Dennis at today's Rotary Club of Calgary meeting was truly moving.  I thought I knew him, but this eulogy told me so much more about this remarkable person.  Sincerest condolences to his family and many friends.

We are so sad upon the passing of  your dear Dennis. He loved his family so much. A truly wonderful gentleman has left this world. Neil and I have many memories in Rotary, where we actually meet Dennis and Linda and immediately hit it off. Neil and Dennis did a lot of good things with the Missing Children Society. One of our greatest memories is of Dennis always sitting in the back of the Williams moving truck at the Rotary barbecues giving out supplies! He loved that job! He was truly a people person!
Dennis was always there extending a helping hand if you needed it. He was certainly a good, loyal friend. He had a good sense of humour and a smile that will never be forgotten. We certainly missed seeing Dennis and Linda after Dennis moved us to the West Coast. 
Dennis loved Linda very much and may all the love they shared comfort her now. 
Dennis will never be forgotten.

Bob and I met Linda and Dennis when they decided to make High River their home. I was lucky to have the same name so it was fate that we met and became good friends. I will always think that Dennis was lucky to have yet another Linda in his life. But I was the lucky one. Bob and Dennis shared a keen interest in sports and spent some quality time at the Okotoks Dawgs games. We enjoyed having dinners on our deck followed by a roaring campfire with Dennis sharing his stories and insights while enjoying his cigar. We will miss this. In the colder temperatures dinners moved inside and generally ended up with Bob and Dennis finding some game to watch the end of. Dennis fought a brave fight but it was not in the cards for him to stay with us. His love for his wife Linda was evident in everything he did he cared deeply for all the people in his life and always made a point to thank people for the things they did. It is our turn to thank Dennis for all he gave us. His laugh his company his friendship we will take that with us and remember you always. Rest well Dennis.

Dennis and Linda became our good friends through an Alberta Motor Association connection.  John and I loved our moments and special times together and have so many wonderful memories.  Dennis was always so pleasant and friendly, and so full of life.  We will miss you our dear friend; you have left us all way too soon, but we will smile and carry on when we think of you.

We were so sad to hear of Dennis' passing.  All the memories from Rotary events like barbecues, Chinese new years and organizing hospital equipment for Uganda came to mind.  I will always remember being in the backyard in High River after our annual golf outing to Nanton. Dennis could always be counted on for doing what he promised, going the extra mile and being there to help a friend.

I  LOVED DENNIS LIKE A BROTHER. WE SHARED MANY MEMORIES AND GOOD TIMES ON THE AMA BOARD.  HE FOUGHT UNTIL THE VERY END.  HE TOLD ME THAT HE WOULD NEVER GIVE IN TO ESOPHAGUS CANCER ..... THAT WAS HIS NATURE...... HE WAS A TROUPER AND A FIGHTER. BUT AFTER AT LEAST 7 MAJOR SURGERIES AND FOUR BOUTS OF PNEUMONIA  IT WAS NOT TO BE.  WHEN I TALKED TO DENNIS LAST WEEK HE TOLD ME THAT HE WAS READY TO MOVE ON AND PASSED AWAY PEACEFULLY ON SATURDAY. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE, DENNIS
