Yuk King Chiu passed away peacefully at AgeCare SkyPointe on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at the age of 94. She was born in May of 1931 in Hong Kong. A devoted mother and grandmother, Yuk King cherished her heritage. She was a quiet guardian of culture and fostered a deep connection to her roots through language. She possessed a profound appreciation for beauty and meticulousness, evident in her elegant presentation and dignified presence. As she aged, her fierce independence and determined spirit shone brightly. Yuk King will be remembered for her quiet strength, cultural devotion, and unwavering independence.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children and their families; Judy, John & Ann, and Amy & Wilson; her grandchildren; Barbara, Vicky & Jeffrey; and her great-grandchildren Jaylyn, Kaydyn, and Khylyn.
A Funeral Service to honour Yuk King’s life will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL (3220 4th Street NW, Calgary AB) on Monday, June 30th at 10:00AM.
