Yuk Mei Woo (born July 19, 1938) passed away with peace and grace on Friday, July 1, 2016. Mei was predeceased by her beloved husband Hanslie Woo and her sister Su Kow Chin. Mei will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Verna Woo-Penner (Grant); her three grandsons Alexander, Justin and Riley; and her son Wesley Woo. She will also be missed by her brothers and sister, Robert Ing (Shu Ling), Albert Ng (Lisa) and Anita Tam; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mei was born in China and moved to Calgary in 1960. She was a mother to all and a successful businesswoman. She will be missed by everyone that she has touched. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at a Visitation to be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service to celebrate her life will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
