Yvonne Mary Groulx

Yvonne is survived by her daughters Gail Keskic (Tim) and Bridget Groulx; her son Jamie Groulx (Deanne); grandchildren Aaron, Lucas (Hollie), Julianna, Kristina, and Paige; her sisters Theresa Render (late Harvey), Jeannette Richard, and Susan Berglund; her brother John Richard (Margret) as well as nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Yvonne will be dearly missed by Aunt Jacqui Howlett and Bill Tomenson. She is predeceased by her mother Carol Richard, her father Raymond Richard, and her brothers; Maurice Richard and Stephen Richard.

Yvonne loved listening to music, reading novels, and watching movies, but spending time with her sister, Sue, was what she looked forward to each Saturday morning because of the time they would spend together. Yvonne was a quiet person but loved it when family gatherings were happening as she enjoyed the excitement of those events. Yvonne loved her grandchildren and enjoyed listening to the girls’ play piano or the boys’ talk about their video games. The physical distance did not matter to these sisters as the phone calls from her older sisters, Theresa and Jeannette were cherished by Yvonne.

A Memorial Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 10:00 AM.

The City of Calgary Vaccine Passport Bylaw 65M2021, requires all individuals attending funeral services to provide COVID-19 proof of vaccination, or proof of a privately paid negative test result taken within 72 hours of service, or documentation of medical exemption.
