Darryl was a loyal, humble, sometimes sarcastic, and protective family man. We will remember his striking blue eyes, his passion for sports (the Leafs, 49ers, and Blue Jays especially), and his amazing sense of humour. He loved to make people laugh, and his smile was contagious. Darryl was a proud supporter of the Cambridge Road Runners, Brantford 99ers, and the Cambridge Chiefs; he loved to watch his grandchildren participate in these sports and be surrounded by all the sports families. Darryl also loved to cook, and was a talented musician, playing the guitar, spoons, and drums. Darryl was a past member of the Preston Scout House Drum Corps. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his children Travis (Tara) and Jayden (Alyne), brother Charlie (Brenda), grandchildren Carson and Chloe, stepson Jason Warden, his cat CC, and many nieces, nephews, and friends too numerous to count. Darryl was predeceased by his parents Charles and Gwendolyn Albert, step-father Lou Bernhardt, and his brothers Chris, Tom, and Ken. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held when it is safe for us to gather in large numbers once again. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Mental Health Association.
