Donald (Don) Charles Topping

After a hard fought battle with cancer, Don passed away with his family by his side on Sunday, October 2, 2016. Don leaves behind the love of his life, his wife Carrol of 41 years, his boys Trevor (Jennelle) and Ryan (Amy). Don will be missed by his siblings Wayne, Carol, Bob, Gary, Diane, Brenda and Mike, their spouses and families. Predeceased by his parents Arnold and Dorothy and his brother Bev.

Don was a big supporter of minor sports, particularly softball and hockey through volunteering and coaching. In 1995 he was awarded coach of the year. Through his years he touched many lives and influenced the youth to become respective adults. You knew he was happy by his infectious laugh, smile and always lived by the montra, “one day at a time”.

A celebration of life will took place on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Anglican Church, 567 Queenston Road, Cambridge N3H 3J9. A reception was held afterwards. In lieu of flowers the family requested for donations to support Kids Can Play, The Canadian Cancer Society and St. John’s Anglican Church in Cambridge.
