Doug passed away peacefully at Hilltop Manor on March 27, 2014 at the age of 71. Loving son of Kathleen and George Defrain (predeceased). Loving brother to Janice Gale (Philip), Kathy Bartlett (Michael), and Jim Defrain (Michele). Loving uncle to Jessica, Kyle-Wray, Jamie, Matthew and Abbey. Family and friends will be received at Barthel Funeral Home (519-653-3251), 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge on Monday, March 31, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. by Rev. Mark Rutledge on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Trillium United Church, 450 King Street East, Cambridge. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Cambridge Memorial Hospital.
