

With a sense of gratitude, we give thanks to God for the almost 100 years of life given our mother and aunt, Evelyn MacPhail, who died peacefully October 3, 2010 at Fairview Mennonite Home. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, John (1988), parents Edith Rhodes (1916), Edward Tremaine (1960) and Fanny Thorne (1994), sister Eileen Boomer (2000) and brother Lloyd (1978). She will be lovingly missed by her son, Rev. John MacPhail, of Paris, nieces Carol Bonney (Stephen) and Betty Boomer (Ray) and nephew Alf Boomer, all of Cambridge, along with several generations of great and great-great nieces and nephews, and her extended family at Fairview, where she was treated with kindness and humour. The MacPhails were the first tenants at The School Apartments in 1981. Evelyn joined King Street Baptist Church in 1932 and was a longtime member. Private burial at Preston Cemetery. Visitation on Friday, October 8th, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Fairview, 515 Langs Drive, Cambridge. Memorial Service at King Street Baptist Church (361 King Street East, Cambridge) on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Victor Lujetic presiding.
