Passed away peacefully on Friday, January 21, 2011 after 92 glorious years. Predeceased by wife of 60 years Kay Weaver (2005). Lovingly remembered by son Robert Weaver of Winnipeg, and Karen Weaver and her husband Jean–Claude Savoie of Cambridge. Also predeceased by sister Mary Schilroth, and brother John. George was a passionate horticulturist, master gardener and judge. He was a lifetime member of Doon Presbyterian Church and a RCAF veteran. There will be a private family memorial service at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
In memory of George, donations to the Royal Botanical Gardens (680 Plains Road West, Burlington, Ontario L7T 4H4) would be appreciated by the family.
