Today we said our final good-bye to my former boss and good friend, Gerry. I had the pleasure of working for Gerry the lawyer for 11 years in the 70's/80's and not only was Gerry a kind and thoughtful boss, he became a very good friend. Gerry the MPP was just as caring as Gerry the lawyer. He always made time for his friends. Thank you for reaching out to me when I was sick last year Gerry. It meant so much to me. You will definitely be missed.

I had the privilege of beginning my legislative service with Gerry as the Class of '95. He was a dedicated parliamentarian and brought an inspiring enthusiasm to public service. He touched countless people with his compassion and changed many lives for generations to come. It was an honour to know him and I extend my condolences to his family and many friends,

My son was a Page at Queen's Park ten years ago and as we lived in Gerry's riding he took a special interest in my son, taking him for lunch, always speaking with him and encouraging his interest in politics. He allowed him to develop his political passion stapling flyers and filling envelopes so he could be part of the office life. He now is working in politics. Thank you, Gerry, for supporting the next generation. My condolences to your family

Gerry was a good friend and colleague of mine at Queen's Park. He was a very good MPP in that he researched the issues and spoke out in caucus on matters that were important to him and his community. Both my wife Joan and I enjoyed his company while he was an MPP and after he retired. He was a man of integrity and high moral standing. Our condolences to his family and friends. We will miss him.

Gerry was one of a kind. Him and I spent many enjoyable Thursday nights together discussing important issues at the Jesuit Seminary in Guelph. A wonderful fellow, and a good man. Ron Henry

I'll remember Gerry for being a genuinely nice guy and a friend. He was a great ambassador for Cambridge and North Dumfries, and we all get to benefit from the initiatives he began. My prayers go to his family and friends. This can't be an easy time for any of you, but know that all those hours Gerry spent in public life have produced a lasting legacy for our community. Gerry will not be forgotten, and may he rest in peace.
