Inez "Toots" Wehrle

It is with great sadness the family announces the death of Inez “Toots” Wehrle on Thursday October 25, 2012 in her 92nd year. Dearly loved mother of Susan Boudreau (Larry) of East Rochester, NY; Peggy McGarr of Preston; Sandra McIntosh (John) of Nanton, AB; John Wehrle (Connie) of Lombardy; and Karla Schmalz (Paul) of Goderich. Inez leaves precious memories with her 18 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her dear husband Frederick Wehrle in 2001, her sister Frances St. Pierre in 1969 and by her parents Emil and Marguerite Eicheldinger (nee Caskenette). Inez was Past President and life member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch126 Ladies Auxilliary and Past President of St. Clement’s Scout and Guide Mothers. She was owner and operator of Inez’s Beauty Shop in Preston from 1940, later she became the housekeeper at St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church. Inez was a 50 year plus member of the CWL at St. Clement’s and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Family and friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 556 Queenston Rd., Cambridge on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Parish Prayers will be at 3:30. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church, 745 Duke Street, on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow with private interment of cremated remains at St. Clements Cemetery.
