Irene Mildred Rees Chaulk

Passed away peacefully at A.R. Goudie Eventide Home, Kitchener, Ontario on Friday October 19th , 2012 in her 85th year . Born and raised in Bell Island, Newfoundland. Beloved wife of the late Frank Chaulk (1997). Loving mother of Carol, Judith(Lawrence Hennessey), Athelie(Larry Herman), Barbara (Gil Santos), Gary(Wendy), Ruby(Larry Marren), Valerie, Jeffrey(Heather), Anita(Doug Knox) and Neil(Carol). Dearly loved and fondly remembered by 27 grandchildren, 34 Great-grandchildren and 2 Great Great-grandchildren. Survived by brothers Charles Rees(Gloria)and Eric Rees (Phyllis) and sisters Phyllis, Evelyn(Gerald Williams) and Joan Oakley. Predeceased by her parents Alfred and Mildred Rees, daughter Marilyn, sister Rita and Grand-daughter Tammy Lynn. Irene was a long time Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 126, Ladies Auxiliary, Cambridge (Preston) and Chairwoman of R.C.L. Br. #126 Poppy Fund. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, Ontario N3H 3J8 (519)-653-3251 on Wednesday October 24, 2012 from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Saint John’s Anglican Church, 567 Queenston Road, Cambridge on Thursday October 25, 2012 at 1 pm. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family. Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Service Wednesday evening 7 pm at Funeral Home. Reception to follow service at the Royal Canadian Legion Br.#126, 334 Westminster Dr., N, Cambridge.
