John (Frank) Francis Day

John Francis “Frank” DAYPassed away peacefully at his residence, after a lengthy battle with alcoholism, on Sunday, April 26, 2009, in his 57th year.Dear father of Stephanie Day and her partner Clinton Worron of Waterford and her mother Jane Day of Stoney Creek. Survived by his brother Ted Day and his wife Jocelyn of Cayuga and his sisters Ruth Bark and her husband Donald of Orillia, Marian Day and her husband Terry Young of Thunder Bay and six nieces and nephews and one great-niece. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Mary Day.Frank was born in Galt on December 8, 1952 and was the owner of Days Overhead Maintenance and Erectors (D.O.M.E.). He was an avid outdoorsman, canoeing, hunting and working outdoors.Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge on Friday, May 8, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, May 9, 2009 from 12:30 p.m. until the Memorial Service time at 1:30 p.m.As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
