John Duncan Smith

John Duncan Smith passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026, saying goodbye to his wife of 67 years Marilyn “Marl” Smith; son Craig Smith; and daughters Lisa Smith and Tara Smith (Greg MacDonald). “Poppa” will be missed by his grandchildren Archie Burton Smith and Claire MacDonald.

An avid sports fan, John played, coached and followed sports all his life. He will be remembered fondly by many as a man about town, always ready to drop a classic “dad joke” and leave a smile behind.

John will be taking in one last sunset in a private celebration with his family, and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
