After a long fought and valiant battle with cancer, Larry slipped quietly away on August 26, 2010.
Larry was predeceased by his wife, Mary Alice (nee Ward), in 1992 and his mother, Evelyn (nee Sexsmith), in 1995.
Larry is survived by his father, Cecil John Hickson of Lindsay, Ontario.
Larry is also survived by his sister-in-law, Carol Harris, her husband, Stanley, and his nephew, Brent and his family, all of Friendship, New York. Also survived by his niece, Julie Harris of St. Petersburg, Florida and her family. Larry also leaves behind cousins and long-time friends.
Larry was an avid lover of cars, especially sport models. His greatest joy was found behind the wheel of a great sports car. Larry was a retiree from Manulife where he worked until his retirement as a Manager in Individual Insurance Systems.
At Larry’s wish no funeral, visitation or services will be held.
Cremation has taken place, arrangements by Barthel Funeral Home.
