Lewis "Lou” Rowe

Lewis "Lou” Rowe, passed away peacefully surrounded by love on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at the age of 78 at Hilltop Manor, Cambridge.

Lou is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 51 years, Ada Rowe (nee Sheppard). Loving father of daughter Cynthia Rowe in the Cayman Islands, and son Chris Rowe in Cambridge. Proud Poppy of Zachary and Carson Rowe. He is also fondly remembered by his sisters, Effie Humber, and Audrey Butler, and by his brother Israel Rowe, all in Newfoundland. He is predeceased by his sister, Ivy Hand, in Thunder Bay. Lou and Ada came from Newfoundland in 1968, first to Toronto, then settling in Preston in 1977, where they raised their family. A private memorial will take place at a later date. For those who wish, donations in Lou’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society by contacting the funeral home.

At this time of sorrow I would like to express my heart felt condolence to Ada Cindy and Chris for there great loss .As I remember the good times we had although we lived far apart it was always a pleasure to visit them in Cambridge he would always be there to pick us up at the airport or coming to visit me at the Hamilton General when I was in for triple bypass the last time being ten years ago when we bought our new truck in Arthur as always he took me over to pick it up waiting for me to finish paper work then leading back to there house cross country favorite saying Some nice To a good friend and brother-in-law rest in peace Russ

Ada,Cindy, Chris and Family; We are deeply saddened by Lou's passing. We were fortunate enough to have known him most of our lives. We partied together, shared many meals, Lou and I hunted at Budd's place on many occasions. and really enjoyed each others company. He will always remain in our memories. Ada, Cindy & Chris, so very sorry for your loss. We have many fond memories of Lou, having stood for them at their wedding, shared many a meal and weekend visits over the years and remained very good friends up until we moved back to NL in 1987.
