Madeline Shillington

SHILLINGTON, Madeline – of London and formerly Cambridge passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 10th, 2017 in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Clifford Shillington (May 19, 2005). Predeceased by her two sisters, Florence Bannerman and Shirley Dodd, and a brother, Eldon Monk. Dear mother of Carol Saxby (Bob) of London and Dale Shillington (Karen) of Woodstock. Loving and cherished grandmother of Christopher, Michael and Heather Saxby, and great-grandmother of Maddie, Lily, Jake and Juliet. Madeline worked for many years at the Preston Pharmacy and enjoyed baking, quilting and sewing. She was also a long-time member of St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and a faithful member of the LCW. The family wishes to extend their special thanks to the staff at Westmount Gardens Long Term Care, London, for their kindness and compassion demonstrated over many years. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 810 King St E, Cambridge with the funeral service commencing at 3:00 PM. Following the service, beverages and a light lunch will be provided at the church. Interment at a later date at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 2723 Victoria St. N., Breslau.
