Peacefully, with family at her side, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at the age of 93.

Predeceased by her husband James T. Rahn (1985) and son James E. Rahn (2004). Loving mother of Robert (Judith Wale), Paul (Beth), Karen Slater (Tom), Lois VanHeugten (Late Brian, 2012), and Caroline Fish. Proud and loving grandmother of Crystal (Jason), Olivia, Matthew, Aaron (Daniella), James (Sarah), Brian (Courtney), Robert, Michael, and Jessica, and great-grandmother of Chelsea, Dylan, and Luka. She will also be lovingly remembered by Cheryl Penman and many friends.

Born in Galt, Margaret graduated from Galt Collegiate Institute and Vocational School before embarking on a busy family life interspersed with a diverse working life spanning the medical secretarial and accounting disciplines. Later in life she was employed with Software AG, from which she retired at the age of 70 years young. Devoted to her faith, she was an elder at Knox Preston Presbyterian Church and was actively involved with the many church activities including the Woman's Afternoon Association and the Out of the Cold initiative.

Mom went to great lengths to encourage and be involved with all her children's activities, be they related to school, church or sport. Figure skating in particular captured her imagination and she was recognized by the Canadian Figure Skating Association for her dedication to the sport, which included 50 years of volunteer judging. Mom cherished spending time with family at the cottage in Honey Harbour, where so many wonderful memories were created and remain with us. Mom enjoyed reading, music, and fondly remembered her many travels, both within Canada and abroad. In her youth, she was an accomplished Highland Dancer as well as dancing with the National Ballet Company. Friendship and connection were important to Marg, as could be seen by the monthly Club get-togethers with her pals from her high school days. Her volunteering initiatives were many and far reaching, including 25 years of volunteering at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to the staff at CMH for their thoughtful and compassionate care.
