Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Tuesday June 9, 2015 at age 79. Beloved wife of Francisco Cardoso. Loving mother of Maria and her husband Paul Walia. Dearly loved grandmother of Jeff Melo. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, Ontario N3H 3J8 (519)-653-3251 on Thursday June 11, 2015 from 6-8 pm. The Funeral Mass and Celebration of Maria’s life will be held at St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge on Friday June 12, 2015 at 11 am. Interment to follow at Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge, Ontario. A special thank you to the great Oncology Team at Cambridge Memorial Hospital for their dedication, kindness and care given to Maria.
