It is with immense sadness that I announce the death of Ragbir. Born September 1st 1939 in Peshawar, India. Died Tuesday July 12th in 2022, at his home, surrounded by love. He obtained his M.B., B.S., and M.D., at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. He was in the first class to graduate from the institute and was the gold medalist of that class. He completed Fellowships and Residencies, starting in 1965 in King County Hospital, Seattle; M.D. Anderson Hospital, Houston; University Hospital, Edmonton and Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto. He was a senior registrar/acting consultant at the Princess Margaret Hospital, Nassau, Bahamas, in 1971. There he met and married his English wife, Susan, an R.N. at the hospital. They came to Cambridge in 1971. He practiced Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, both in his medical office and at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, where he spent some time as Chief of Medicine and was associated with Diabetic Day Care for many years, until his retirement in 2011. He enjoyed travelling to meet family in India, U.S.A., U.K. and was well loved by all. He also enjoyed travelling to new places, particularly the Caribbean Islands and Europe and visiting gardens, walking and trying new cuisines. His main joy was keeping abreast of medical developments and reading medical journals. Thanks to Dr. Craig Albrecht and Langs Farm staff, Dr. Celine Sandor, the many PSW's and LHIN Case Managers, Leanne and Jillian, who helped with his care. Special thanks to Kim Dawe who was a mainstay with his evening care and my respite. And very special thanks to Hem and Nancy who supported me through this past year.
