MARSHALL, Ronald – Passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on Thursday, September 8, 2011 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Doreen. Loving father of Keith Marshall, Paula Stewart(Glen) and Lorne Marshall(Lynne). Dearly loved Grandfather of Morgan, Josh, Courtney, Rochelle, Stephen, Ryan and Nathan. Predeceased by 5 brothers and 1 sister in England. Ron was a Veteran of World War Two in the Merchant Navy. Immigrated to Canada in 1957 and worked for the Ontario Government as a Boiler Inspector until his retirement in 1983. Ron was a longtime resident of Cambridge and member of the Royal Canadian Legion(Preston) Branch #126. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge (519-653-3251) on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 from 2 pm until Service time at the Funeral Home at 3 pm. Interment to follow at Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
