I send my condolences to Shirley's family and friends. Having grown up in Parkview Hills, I first met Shirley as the mother of my childhood friend and her daughter, Mary Lynne, whom I met in kindergarten and remained friends with throughout our school years in East York. I began my teaching career at Secord and would get rides to and from school with Shirley....although my time at Secord was short, it was an honour to have had that time with Shirley. She was a dedicated teacher and parent.

I taught with Shirley for a number of years at Secord School.I know that even after her retirement she worked hard collecting money from teachers for the East York Teachers' Association- what a job!
I send my thoughts and prayers to all her family at this difficult time.May you find Peace and acceptance in the days to come.

I have fond memories of Shirley through Secord School where we both taught and Presteign Church. She loved to tell family stories and was so very proud of all of you.
