Thelma Ida Ruth

Of Cambridge, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 in her 85th year. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest, son Larry, daughter Angela McDowell, son-in-law Tom Hunt, her parents Lovina Berlet and William Zimmerman, and by her brothers, Milton and Elmer. Dolly leaves behind her surviving children Norbert, Patricia Ruth (Terry), Therese Klotz (Pete) and Shelley Hunt. She was the proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Dolly worked for many years at Colonial Cookies in Kitchener and previously for Daisy Heddon, Electrohome and Buffalo Sled, Preston. She was a member of St. Clement’s Parish, Preston.

Relatives and friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge on Sunday, January 5th from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge, on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 11 a.m. Internment in Parklawn Cemetery.

Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
