Valentina 'Violet' Verbickas

Passed away peacefully with family by her side, on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Lisaard House, Cambridge, at the age of 87. She now joins her beloved husband Vince (2010) and her brother Bill Tauskela (2005). She will always be remembered by her brother Joe Tauskela (Eileen), sisters-in-law Anna Kaminskas, Lina Sawitz, Teresa Apanavicius, Vida Verbickas and Stase Zubrickas (Sigitas). Treasured aunt and great-aunt of countless nieces and nephews. Violet was a faithful member of the St. Clement’s CWL and the Cambridge Horticultural Society.

Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, January 2nd at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge (519-653-3251) from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. John’s Lithuanian Cemetery, 2185 Stavebank Road, Mississauga at 12:30 p.m. Donations in Violet’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or Lisaard House would be appreciated by the family.
