Born in Campbellton on June 28, 1979, he is the son of the late Michelle Root and of the late Willard Rick Metallic.
Adam worked as a crab fisherman for 18 years. His greatest joys in his life were fishing, being surrounded by nature and his family. Adam also had a life time love for his cats, Meela and Midna. Adam excelled at his passions. He was renowned for his musical talents, as his deep rooted passion of music was through the arts of drumming, playing the piano, the flute and guitar. Although, Adam did not read musical notes, he had the keen ability to learn by ear. Adam was a gifted musician who created many of his own masterpieces. Adam had an extraordinary connection to nature, a passion for the sea, and a love for Transformers. Adam also represented a strain of spiritual awareness and communal values. He longed for equality, especially amongst his fellow fishers.
Adam is survived and will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Symphony Melody Wysote-Root, his sister’s Danielle Root and Natasha Root (Jessie Riley) of Halifax, his niece Gabrielle Root and brother’s by choice Jody Methot and Kevin Methot (April Dedam) of Listuguj, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Listuguj Bingo Hall, on Thursday, at 2:00 pm with visitation from 1:00 pm until time of traditional ceremony.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation for all kind words of expression and support during this difficult time.
