Alexina "Exie" Bulmer Delaney

She was the daughter of the late Sarah Jane (McDavid) Bulmer and George Angus Bulmer. Exie was born and raised in Flatlands. She was a devoted member of the Flatlands Baptist Church, a Sunday School Teacher and active in the Women’s Missionary Society. She was involved in the community - a life member of the Flatlands Women’s Institute and the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital and the Campbellton Regional Hospital.

Exie loved to cook and entertain in her home and was well known in the community for her homemade bread and rolls. She had a passion for gardening and always had numerous flowers and plants in and around her home.

She was devoted to her family and was the frequent hostess of many large family gatherings.

She is survived by her sons, George (Vickie), of Robinsonville, Terrance (Sandra) of Campbellton, Peter (Alice), of Flatlands, daughters, Gwen (Alan), of Campbellton, Cindy (George), of Whitby, Ontario, as well as her sister Ruth of Flatlands. She was predeceased by her husband, William (Bill) and her daughter Peggy.

A funeral service will be held at the Baptist Church in Campbellton, Monday at 2:00 pm.

Visitation at Maher’s Funeral Home, 33 Lansdowne St., Campbellton, Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00, and Monday at the Church from 1:00 pm until time of funeral.

Donations to the First Baptist Church, Flatlands Cemetery or of Donor's Choice would be appreciated by the family.
