Betty was born on October 5, 1931, in Broadlands, Quebec and was the daughter of the late William and Letitia (MacLelland) Gregoire.
Betty is survived by her sister Jean Smith of Fredericton, NB, her sister-in-law Frances Tozer, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings Mack, Rollie, Lorne, Keith, Glenford, Burns, Raymond, Bliss, Murray, Harvey, Greta and Jackie.
Betty spent most of her life in Broadlands until she moved to Campbellton a few years ago.
She was a wonderful cook and many delicious meals were enjoyed around her kitchen table. Betty wouldn’t consider the evening complete unless a few games of 45 were played too. She also enjoyed sewing, collecting cookbooks, and knitting; she patiently taught more than one niece how to knit. Betty loved the outdoors immensely and many an hour was spent sitting on her verandah enjoying the view of the beautiful Restigouche River.
The family would like to thank the staff at Manoir de la Vallée Manor for the wonderful care she received while living there.
A private graveside service will be held at the Kempt Road Cemetery in Ristigouche Sud Est.
Donations in Betty’s memory may be made to the Kempt Road Cemetery in Broadlands, First United Church in Campbellton or St. Andrews United Church in Tide Head.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
