It is with heavy hearts that the Savoie family announces the passing of Joseph Ernest (Ernie) Savoie, 85, of Tide Head, NB which occurred November 12, 2019 at Campbellton Regional Hospital surrounded by his family.
He will live in the hearts of his loving wife of 59 years, Shirley (Mann), and his children Kevin of Miramichi, Greg (Annick) of Miramichi, Mike (Stacey) of Tide Head, Shelley (Doug) Meredith of Moncton, twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ernie owned Curb Service Station early in his career and then was service manager at Central Garage for 26 years where he was very well known for his impressive troubleshooting ability.
The funeral mass was held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Campbellton, Monday, November 18.
Pallbearers were Mike Savoie, Greg Savoie, Cassandra Savoie, Tim Meredith, Ryan Meredith and Chris Meredith. Honorary pallbearers were Elizabeth (Beth) Pollock, Bernie Barry, Henry Montefrisco, Kenneth Beckingham, Roger Bourque, Paul Lebreton, Jack Lyons, Doug Meredith, Aaron Cole, Allan Pollock, Blaine Mann, Garry Mann, Walter (Junior) Mann, Bruce Savoie, Jean Savoie, Art Bingham, Charles MacIsaac, Jerry Arseneault, Maurice (Smitty) Smith and Gard McCaffrey.
The family would like to thank the staff of the fourth floor medical wing at the Campbellton Regional Hospital for their wonderful care. They would also like to extend a special thank you to the St Thomas Aquinas CWL for the beautiful reception following the service, to family and friends from near and far who sent food, flowers, cards, made donations, and extended their sympathy to us during this difficult time. Your thoughtfulness will never be forgotten.
Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Cancer Society or a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
