The shocking death of Evelyn Violet Keays Baboulas occurred on Friday September 17th at her home in Campbellton.

She was the daughter of Roy and Lena Keays (Thompson).

She will be missed by her son Daniel (Allison Lee) Baboulas and surprisingly would have been a grandmother in months to come.

She also had two brothers Dan Keays and Paul (Esther) Robichaud. She was predeceased by two brothers, Vernon and Timothy keays.

Evelyn and I (Sharon Diotte) had a close sisterly love. She lived with me and my husband for the last two years of her life. She will never be forgotten by us. A beautiful personality.

A Funeral Service will be held at Maher's Funeral Chapel, 64 Lansdowne St., Campbellton on Monday September 27th at 3:00 pm with visitations starting at 1:30 until time of service. To attend the funeral, proof of double vaccinations with identification card as well as masks will be mandatory

My deepest condolences to the family. The Keays were like a 2nd family and spent alot of time there. Evelyn always gave us some great advice and was interested in what we were up to to make sure we stayed out of trouble.

She was a kind gentle soul with a big heart.

How much we will be missing you Evelyn.I know we will never get over last Friday.Prayerfully we will be able to put you in a special place which you helped me so much when my Mom died in 2019.You were a great help and in 2019 you came to stay with us.We had many good times and we laughed together and cried together and last year when the pandemic was worldwide we lived watching CNN.We literally became very close.sisters and brother. You became so relaxed with us that we could see you felt very comfortable. it was your home .We loved to shop and when my son and daughter in law came with there 2 baby girls you loved holding and playing with them.we will always have a a place for you in our heart and right now it just downright hurt so much..But you are so happy to be with Jesus as you had him in your heart. And you loved reading your Bible.I want to see you and let go of you but I will never forget you and George is so broken up.What you knew I dont know because you asked George (who is an ordained Minister)you wanted him to be the minister at your funeral and you made some other requested some other things should you pass on and I would tell you it was not for a long long time before you would pass on .And you instructed George to sing some special songs. And I pray I have the strength of what you wanted of me.But I pray anyone that knew her and was involved
or .touched by her kindness will show up and pay respect to a wonderful woman.Everyone is invited for a celebration of life.A Beautiful woman taken very young and it will be a great loss.Rev George and Sharon Diotte.(There are pictures furthur down,)

Oh I'm so sorry to read of Evelyn's passing!!! She and I have not seen each other for a long time, but the memories are strong from when we were young, school aged girls and having so much fun together. Her family home was close by to ours, and we spent many happy times walking back and forth. The families had known each other for generations. I know her life changed a lot after her Dad passed away. Sure am sorry that she had a difficult time the last few years of her life and also that she lost 2 of the boys. My sincerest sympathy to all her family and friends , Evelyn will be missed by many folks .
