My heart was broken when I found out you were gone Patty, 2016 was the first year I didn't get your Christmas card out, my address book was in Alberta as soon as I got home I sent your Christmas card but it was too late. Patty to our family was part of our family in Marathon he was my dads right hand he was right along with us building our cabin. Patty you are with mom,dad and Penny on a new adventure RIP until it is my time to take flight and we are all together again. I have known my Uncle Petty as the Happy Go Lucky Man. Always on a mission helping someone out. Fast walker. Could speak his mind and be compassionate at the same time. He will be missed and remembered as a Good Man.

I'v known Petty ever since he moved hear.A very strong and determined person.Kind and always spoke no matter where he was .He was my mother in laws neighbour all those many years.He could work circles around anyone ,young or old.I will miss you Petty.God has a good man now.You will be a plus to his list of many angels.God bless

I have known of my Uncle Petty through out my life as one of my Dad's many brothers and sisters but our paths have crossed infrequently. As a child I remember with my brother heading out to a railroad siding near Stayner ON to spend a few minutes with him as he returned to Marathon ON where he worked. As an adult some 15 years ago I ventured into Campbellton with my daughter. While my daughter age 12 stayed with his sister Jeanette, Uncle Petty then a spry 80 year old and I climbed Sugarloaf together. Again some years later I ran into him walking the streets of Campbelltown. Most recently I drove to Winnipeg and stopped in Marathon to see the Mill where he worked. I took a few photos thinking if I am in Campbellton again I would show them to him. That isn't going to happen. We weren't close but he did know me as Art's son.
