Irene Hachey

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Irene Mary Beatrice Hachey (nee) Arseneault of Atholville (age 88) on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital.

She was just two days short of 64 years of marriage to her loving husband Douglas. Irene enjoyed singing in the Atholville Lady of Lourdes Church choir as well as the Campbellton Village nursing home. She was also a member of the CWL.

She loved to garden, as well as enjoying her passion for flowers and birds.

Irene’s love for her husband and children was only surpassed by her love of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Irene is survived by her loving husband Douglas Hachey, her six children, Gary (Lynn) Hachey, Sylvia (Rick) Golding, Ron (Marie) Hachey, Denise Hachey, Diane (Doug) Vail and Ray (Kim) Hachey along with eleven grandchildren, Krystal, Justin, Tanya, Jessica, Daniel, Kandice, Holly, Melissa, Janelle, Kara, Alex along with great-grandchildren Brooklynn, Rosalie, Maria and Damien. Irene was predeceased by sisters Mildred, Isabel and Rosie along with her brother Wilfred and her parents Lillian and Sylvain Arseneault.

Irene is survived by one sister Jeannine, brothers Clifford, Noel and Ivan.

A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Atholville, Monday August 7th at 11:00 am

Visitation at Maher’s Funeral Home, 33 Lansdowne St., Campbellton, Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 and Monday from 10:00 am until time of funeral.

In memory of Mrs. Hachey, donation can be made to a charity of donor’s choice.
