Laird Raymond Dobson Roberts

Passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital II in Halifax on December 1st , 2017 at the age of 76, Mr. Laird Roberts, husband of Sheila (Bryenton) Roberts. Born in Campbellton on August 9, 1941, son of the late Frank Roberts and the late Alta Hilda Roberts.

He worked for the pulp mill in Atholville for 43 years as a lab analyst until retirement. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed cooking and gardening and was an avid reader of many interests including military history.

He is survived by his wife Sheila Roberts of 50 years; his daughter Kelly (Al) Roberts of Miramichi; his son Christopher (Lisa) Roberts of Tide Head; four sisters Lynne of Kingston Ont. , Peggy (Robert) Corsar of Comax B.C. , Penny (Bill) Perry of Oxford N.S. June (Dikeran) of Toronto; his grandchildren, Caleb, Luke, Olivia, Jack and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Bill.

The funeral service will be held at Maher’s Funeral Chapel, 64 Lansdowne St., Campbellton, on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 2:00 pm. At the request of the family, there will be no visitation prior to the service in the Chapel.

Donations to the SPCA or to a charity of the Donor’s Choice would be appreciated by the family.
