Born in Tabusintac (Cain’s Point), N.B. on June 15, 1942, daughter of (the late) Mary Ruby Jane Stewart (Bell) and of (the late) Leonard Clayton Stewart.
She worked at the Campbellton & Dalhousie Hospitals until her retirement. She was known as the neighborhood Mom that fed and tended to many cuts and scrapes.
She is survived by her children Jennifer Adams (Michael Sams), Robert, Cameron, and Estelle Adams (Russell Harquail), Rhea McKeil, Ashley McKeil; her grandchildren Julie (Marc-Andre Roy), Savannah Adams, Brandon LePage, Jacob Harquail, Vanessa (Matt Airey), and Nova Harquail; great-grandchildren Gabriel Roy, Ivy, Emry, Wesley Airey, Stanley Harquail; her sisters Gertrude (Leonard Hennigar) and Marian (Gerd Witt) as well as many nieces and nephew. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Clayton Stewart.
A Funeral Service will be held at Maher's Funeral Chapel, 64 Lansdowne St., Campbellton on Saturday June 26th at 11:00 am.
Visitations at Maher's Funeral Home, 33 Lansdowne St., Campbellton, Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and on Saturday at the Chapel from 10:00 am until time of service.
