

The family of Marcel Durette 88 of Campbellton are saddened to announce his passing at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on August 4, 2012 after a short illness. Born in Balmoral, he was the son of the late Daniel Durette and the late Edith Hunt. He worked as a public health inspector for over 30 years, but what he was most proud of was his 8 children.
He leaves behind his wife of 63 years Kathleen (Flynn) Durette, 4 daughters Peggy Rouleau (Paul), Lorraine Burnison (Charles), Patricia Spicer (Dennis) and Dianne Durette (Steve), 3 sons Robert, Donald (Debbie) and Eddy, brothers and sisters Danny Durette (Elaine), Blondine Black (Everett), Bertha Poley (Bevan), Mida Morrissey (Gerry) and Yvonne Godin (Roland). Also survived by his 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, son Marcel junior, sister Blanche and granddaughter Diane Spicer.
In respect of Marcel’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A private graveside service will be held.
The family would like to extend their appreciations to the nurses and doctors for the care and attention they provided to our father in his time of illness.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of Maher’s Funeral Home, Campbellton.
