Mildred Alma Butler (nee Thompson) passed on peacefully at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Wednesday, March 6th, 2013 at the age of 98.
She was born in Dawsonville, NB on February 28, 1915 to the late Chesley P. Thompson and Ina Gracie.
She is survived by her daughters Olive Ann (late John Archibald), Tide Head, NB, Ina Mae (Chipman MacDonald) St-Lambert, Qc and her son Frederick (Diane Bryson), St-Lambert. Qc. Mildred is also survived by her brothers Arden (Antigonish, NS), Thomas (Kitchner, ON), William (Dawsonville, NB), her sisters Joyce (Glen Levit, NB), Susan (Dawsonville, NB), Betty (Courtenay, BC). She was predeceased by her husband Edward Leonard (Chummy) Butler, her son Edward Chesley (Carol Roberts) Cold Lake, Alberta, her brothers Ralph (Deep River, ON), Percy (Deep River, ON), and a sister Georgina (Gofts Town, NH, USA).
She was an active member of the United Church and a long member of UCW.
A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew's United Church, Tide Head, on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 2 pm.
Visitation at the church one hour before the service.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of Maher’s Funeral Home, Campbellton.
