Sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. Had the pleasure of serving with Bob in 1st Battalion PPCLI, B  Coy.  I remember the day when  Bob and myself along with Scotty Phenoix got promoted to the rank of Corporal under our  OC Lew Mackenzie. What a day of celebration for us young soldiers. We both served in Cyprus together and Bob got involved in Canada Day celebrations, riding in a simulated bull contest since the battalion was from  Calgary, which I believe there was a picture taken.  Bob was a true sportsman  in ever since of the word which showed in his style of leadership.

I remember the nite that the Aubie boys tried too start fight when our Family. They picked on the wrong Fam. Hauled away my the Mounties. HA HA.


Our deepest heartfelt sympathy is being sent to Simonne, David, Kevin and all of Robert's siblings  Robert was always such a sweet, soft spoken man.  Always took the time to stop to chat when we ran into him.  His struggle with his health is now over and he's at peace.  He will always be just a memory away.

So sorry to hear of Bob's passing.  My deepest, sincerest sympathies at this difficult time.  Was very fortunate to have served with Bob in Germany in 3 Mech Cdo and in Cornwallis.  Bob was a great guy and terrific soldier.  Was fortunate as well to have been able to play hockey with Bob also in Germany and in Cornwallis we had some memorable times together.  Rest easy my friend.

I was so very fortunate to serve with Bob in Germany in the mid 70's.  We played hockey together with the Rebels/Royals.  We were defence partners, wingers on the same line and we coached some minor hockey together.  I was able to see Bob and Simonne in Edmonton for the P.P.C.L.I. 100th anniversary.

Remembering his wonderful gentle soul will remain in my heart and I will miss him.  Simonne and family, Gail and I send our heartfelt condolences.

I was very sad to hear of Bob's passing. He was a great guy and outstanding soldier. We served together in B Company 1St Battalion PPCLI and did a tour in Cyprus together. I will always remember his easy going manner and positive attitude. As young soldiers we had a lot of good times together, I will truly miss my brother in arms.
You will all be in my heart and mind in this difficult time.
