Robert (Bob or Bobby to all) was born on May 10, 1958 in Flatlands, New Brunswick to Verna (Thompson) and Howard Bulmer.
He was married to Bonnie (Glidden) on July 24, 1982 in the Baptist Church in Campbellton, NB and remained married to her until his death.
They had two children that were the apple of his eyes. Chelsea Gwen, was born June 19, 1989 and is currently an elementary school teacher for the Foothills School Division at Spitzee Elementary School in High River, Alberta.
Nicholas Robert (Natalie Robinson), was born July 11, 1993 and is currently a Heavy Duty Journeyman Mechanic at Big Rock Oilfields Services (owned by Bob's brother in law) in Whitecourt, Alberta.
Bobby and Bonnie started dating when Bonnie was still in high school at 15 years of age and they married 4 years later. They had a long loving, happy life and they were currently living in Okotoks, Alberta.
Bob started his electrical career right out of High School and became a Journeyman Electrician while employed at Fraser's Pulp and Paper Mill in Atholville, NB in 1983. When the mill announced closure in 1991 he headed West to Kitimat, BC and worked for Eurocan Pulp and Paper. He moved back to New Brunswick for a short stint in 1999 but his heart took him back to the west 10 short months later, to Okotoks, AB where he called home until his death.
In 2004 he acquired his Masters in Electrical and had worked for Shell Oil in a management position until his passing. He was very well respected at work and it showed in all his promotions over the years.
Bobby was also a well rounded athlete and played sports his whole life. His greatest memories were always playing hockey and baseball with his 6 brother in laws. But his true love was motorcycles. He currently owned 3 bikes and had even purchased a home in Arizona in 2010 so he could ride his bike all year round. He had a lot of great motorcycle trips with his buddies from work throughout the years as well.
Another true love was his father, Howard (Buddy to all that knew him). He had passed away in 1996 but Bobby had so many fond memories of him and his father hunting and fishing at THEIR camp.
He was also so proud of his children. Chelsea was daddy's little girl and Nic was his Pal. Both his children loved him dearly and have so many loving memories that they can hold dear to their hearts.
Bobby came across as a very shy man but once he befriended you, you were a friend for life. He will be sadly missed by all that had the great fortune to have known him.
He is also survived by his mother Verna (Thompson) Bulmer of Flatlands, NB. One brother Danny (Corinne) Bulmer of Edmonton, AB and one sister Alison (Wade) Duncan of Alameda, SK. His Mother and Father in law Myrna and Jim Glidden of Glen-Levit, six brother in laws Tim Glidden, Kemp Glidden, Mark Glidden , Matthew Glidden, Patrick Glidden (deceased in 1991) and Curtis Glidden, many aunts and uncles, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
