Born in Campbellton, Veronica was the daughter of the late Sylva (Sonny) and Olive (Firlotte) Boucher. She was a former employee of Eva's Dress Shop, Estelle's Salon, and Royal Bank of Canada. She was a member of Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Campbellton.
Veronica had a lovely outgoing personality and was loved by all she met. She loved summers at her trailer in Tide Head and Cap Pele. She loved to travel, dance, sing, keep up with fashion and current events. In 2016, she moved to Moncton, NB, to be closer to family, which meant everything to her.
Besides her parents, Veronica was predeceased by her sisters May Viola (1919) and Mary Bella (1921); brother, Gerald (KIA 1944); and her husband, Conrad Roy (1997).
Veronica will be dearly missed by her children: Becky Cochrane of Moncton, NB; Rachael Roy (Robbie) of Charlottetown, PEI; Jane Schofield (late Kelly Mullin) of Port Coquitlam, BC; David Roy (Shirly) of Calgary, AB; and Scott Roy (Lisa) of Moncton, NB.
She will be lovingly remembered by her dear nephew Robin Bycroft and his wife Christine, of France; her
grandchildren Doug Cochrane (Angela); Sandy Hache (Nico); Kyle Schofield; Matthew Roy; Spencer Roy; Ashlynn Roy; and Ben Roy; and by her extended family and many friends.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on Friday November 20th at 1:00 pm and will be by invitation only.
In memory of Veronica, donations to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton
