Wanda Irene Murray

Passed away at the Campbellton Nursing Home on July 27th, 2017 at the age of 92, Mrs. Wanda Murray of Glencoe, wife of the late Simon Murray. Born in Campbellton on July 6, 1925, daughter of the late Robert Babcock and the late Hazel Babcock.

Wanda was a member of St. Anthony’s CWL for over 50 years. During those years she filled the position of president twice as well as other executive positions and always remained active until the last few years.

She is survived by her children Mrs. Gordon Harris (Mona) of Atholville, Brenda Murray of Glencoe, Mrs. Carl Dobson (Lorraine) of Campbellton, Robert Murray (Christine Nazair) of Glencoe, Dennis Murray (Elmeda) of Glencoe and Danny Murray (Eldora/ DoDo) of Atholville, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Robert & Hazel Babcock, her husband Simon Murray, her son Allan, her half-brothers Fraser, Elmer and Billy, one full brother Gordon, and her half-sisters Elva Mann, Gladys MacDavid, and Aulder McLellan.

Funeral mass was held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Campbellton N.B., on Tuesday August 1st 2017 at 11:00 am.

Pallbearers will be the three sons, Robert, Dennis & Danny, grandson Mark Murray, great-grandchild Spencer Murray & neighbour Steven Malley.
